Community Health Councils offer information and advice about health and related services in the local area. They also advise and support people who wish to make complaints about NHS Services.

is responsible for monitoring and developing primary care services (GPs, dentists, opticians, pharmacists) and for tackling health inequalities.

offers help with carrying out house repairs and installing disability living aids to the elderly and disabled. There is a special service for those due for discharge from hospital.
