Powys Local Health Board
provides a range of hospital, community, mental health and learning disability services. The Local Health Board is also responsible for commissioning secondary health care and hospital services and co-ordinating the delivery of primary care services for the people of Powys.

The British Red Cross
can lend items of medical equipment, such as wheelchairs, bed rests and commodes, to people on a short-term basis. A therapeutic care session offers a relaxing 30 minute session consisting of handcare and hand massage, neck and shoulder massage given through clothing by trained volunteers for those who are anxious, tense or ill.
