Get Togethers

Currently we have get-togethers in the Aberystwyth and Lampeter areas, and in Pontiets, Carmarthenshire; in Letterston, Pembrokeshire; and Swansea. Please contact the Chairman for details of times and locations of these get-togethers - normally these meet monthly or bi-monthly. From time to time we may have guest speakers for short talks on ME related subjects. Our get-togethers are always informal and provide a good opportunity to exchange news and views. Everyone is welcome and refreshments are provided.

Members in other areas who are willing to host meetings, should contact the Chairman.

A newsletter published every two months

ME & You is an informative and lively periodical, bringing group news, local issues, medical views, reports and articles into your home in an easy to read format. The last-but-one edition is available on this website along with other back-issues for you to download. Just click ‘Group Newsletter’ on the left.

The Editorial Team is always pleased to receive contributions and include them when space permits.

The group can give information on how to deal with claims and appeals.

Medical Practitioners Information

The group knows about sympathetic doctors and their practices, along with other medical and alternative therapists and their treatments. Our members are often willing to pass on their experiences to others.

A Postal Library

of books, journals, audio and video tapes about ME. For a small fee to cover postage and packing, members can select items from the group’s extensive library. The list is frequently updated via the group’s newsletter.

Awareness & Fund Raising

The group is always looking for opportunities to raise awareness of our illness locally. Past activities have included giving interviews on radio and in the newspapers, hosting a Regional Seminar, distributing leaflets and fund raising at local supermarkets.

Blue ribbons

The group supports the wearing of blue ribbons to help raise awareness of ME/CFS.
